The only bad thing about this blend is that it isn’t offered the entire year. Starbucks Winter Blend Whole Bean Coffee is one of the best of its kind. There are so many subtle flavors that come together to make a full bodied sipping experience; it is not as acidic or tart as many other brews. To me, this is the type of blend that I would drink all year long with no problems. While there are hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and other festive spices that are fairly pronounced, the thing that sold this blend for me was the faint taste of evergreens. I know that sounds crazy, and I can’t exactly place what spice accentuates it, but there was definitely a distinctive pinetree flavor that I’ve never found in another coffee before brewing. While everyone’s flavor palate is different, let me know if you can taste those wintergreen undertones as well!
Since this is a speciality blend only offered seasonally, I would definitely stock up before this becomes impossible to find; it comes in a 2.5 lb bag (40 oz), so there should be enough to last several weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to rename this to continue selling it year-long. It would be criminal not to… Do yourself a favor and GET THIS BLEND BEFORE IT’S OUT OF STOCK!!! It’s strong but not overpowering, balanced, has an AMAZING aroma, and tastes wonderful. Seriously, do not pass this one up, folks.
