After drinking Folgers Classic Roast Coffee Medium Roast coffee every morning for over a month near religiously, I can say that it was a great part of my morning… just not the best. As long as you know what you’re getting going in you will not be disappointed. Folgers makes one of the most popular, affordable coffees that is sold around the world. There are many people who have made this their coffee for over 30+ and never get tired of it; it’s been a staple for generations and likely will continue to be. If you want a decent, no-frills medium roast then you’ve found it. If you’re looking for some single-origin exotic specialty blend, look elsewhere.

While this blend is labeled as a “medium” roast, it tastes more similar to your typical dark roast. There is a slight sweetness to it that is hard to place, but a distinct characteristic found in many Folgers blends. It is a faint, almost fruity tart taste that fades quickly in the mouth. However, it is quite bitter and not the most balanced coffee out there. The aroma-fresh seal makes the first whiff of coffee an amazing experience; if only it lasted. The plastic container it is stored in means that the taste and aroma start to loose their power fairly rapidly. That’s why getting smaller containers (like the set of 22.6 oz containers in the link) would be a better idea than trying to get the larger containers.

Overall, this is a great intro coffee for anyone on a budget. It is very common with students who are strapped for cash as well as anyone looking for a quick caffeine fix without worrying much about taste. This is especially true due to its slightly higher caffeine ratio! It also makes a great coffee if you supplement it with most flavored syrups or creamers.
